Getting around Corfu?
The village of Ag. Stefanos Corfu is quite compact and hence travelling
around the village is not a problem. Within the village there are
four car hire and two motorbike hire firms.

Getting around Corfu?
On Corfu there are many taxis (more than 300) circulating. For
quick service it is best to catch a taxi at the taxi stands (at
Spianada, Neo Limani, Spilia, San Rocco) or call a radio taxi. See

Corfu has many car and motor bike offices. Rates differ according
to company and make of vehicle. All offer new and safe vehicles.
I do however recommend that you do not pre-book as normally car
hire at the resort is cheaper. Check your insurance carefully and
what excess you need to pay.
The limited parking facilities offered in Corfu town creates problems
for motorists. There are however parking spaces at Spianada square.
It is best to be well informed about where to purchase petrol for
your car.

KTEL (Green Bus)
The buses in Corfu are good and are on time, and most are air-conditioned.
The KTEL buses have regular services that cover the entire island
to such destinations as Ag, Stefanos, Sidari, Benitses, Kavos and
Ipsos. The station is located at Neo Limani on Avramiou Street.
This bus service is excellent and cheap. Shown below is a section
of the Green Bus timetable serving the areas around Ag. Stefanos.

The cost of a ticket can make one wonder if they make any profit.
(e.g. Ag. Stefanos to Corfu town is 44Km and the ticket costs around

Car hire charges are less out at your resort but check the details
of the insurance and if there is an excess should the car be damaged.
If you pick up the car from the airport it is subject to a 6% airport
levy.
Local rates are generally cheaper in Corfu than pre-booking and
paying before departure.
